You can do the same thing with Google' +1. The one thing to keep in mind is that the iframe that is used for either of them takes up a lot more room than you think. Depending on the length of the title, There's a big gap between the like and the +1 or the +1 is on the next line. At first I tried everything to get rid of the gap, but I gave up in the end.
